New CR Series twin rotor combines from New Holland

New Holland introduced five new models of CR Series twin rotor combines at Farm Progress Show. The CR7090 (shown) retails for $358,000, and the other model that was on display (CR8090) retails for $399,000. The combines feature New Holland’s Tier 4A-compliant engines with SCR technology. Nigel Mackenzie, combine marketing manager, says the engines offer up to 9% in fuel savings.

Other features on the combines include a new 10.4-in. color touch-screen monitor, electric tank extensions, and, on the larger combines, the new Opti-Spread system that evenly distributes residue. Also new is the Dynamic Stone Protection system available on the CR8090 and CR9090. The system mechanically captures stones and feeds them into a sump. The operator empties the sump once a day.
