Beck's Hybrids continues its expansion into Illinois with the purchase of the former Pfister Hybrids facility in El Paso, IL. Beck's is the sixth-largest seed company in the U.S. and the only one in the top six that is family owned.
Beck’s Hybrids has purchased the former Pfister Hybrids facility in El Paso, IL. The facility will be used for seed processing, warehouse space and additional research and testing for Beck’s, which is continuing its expansion into Illinois. Beck’s is headquartered in Atlanta, IN.
“The purchase of this facility will allow us to deliver Illinois farmers the best seed products for their fields and will allow us to grow into the future,” explained Sonny Beck, president of Beck’s Hybrids.
The facility served as headquarters for Pfister, which was founded by Lester Pfister 75 years ago. Beck’s will begin updating the facility over the next year.
“We are celebrating our 75thanniversary and it seems fitting that we expand our seed legacy with the purchase of this historic facility,” said Scott Beck, vice president of Beck’s. Beck’s reports that it is the sixth-largest seed company in the U.S. and the only one in the top six that is family owned.
