FMC Corporation just received a U.S. patent for its Capture LFR insecticide. Capture LFR is formulated to directly mix with liquid fertilizers and water.

“There has been a need in the marketplace for a liquid fertilizer compatible product,” said FMC principal scientist Tim Martin. “Growers want to apply an insecticide early in the season with no coagulation, flocculation, or separation issues. Capture LFR is a unique formulation that allows for this convenient ease of application in one pass.”

As an ideal tank-mix partner for liquid pop-up fertilizers, Capture LFR (which stands for Liquid Fertilizer Ready) stays mixed to provide even distribution through various spray systems. The insecticide can be applied over the seed or in furrow to provide a zone of protection for controlling cutworms, wireworms, grubs and other seed and seedling pests.
